DAYS OF HEAVEN

{Skirt and Top}via Cheap Thrills Vintage, {Heels}Ann Taylor, {Eye Wear}Thom Browne via Black Optical

As a set decorator, I am on a continuous journey to discover things that both inspire and move me.  As I have shared before, the Tall Grass Prairie in Pawhuska, Oklahoma is a place I return to time and time again.  I have now been there to behold the beauty of each season and I have come to the conclusion that the winter season is my favorite there.  With fields of gold that welcome the warmth of the sun and seem to dance in the wind it is a truly spectacular sight to behold.  Perhaps it is enhanced by winter's light and austerity.  It is a place where I feel a spiritual connection, experience inner peace and I leave with a renewed spirit.

On this day, the visual masterpiece of  the film "Days of Heaven" is re-imagined.  So come along on this magical, cinematic and poetic journey.

MY FAIR LADY: PART TWO

{Dress}Clover Canyon, old but love this one, {Eye Wear}Ellery, old but love these, {Shoes}Ann Taylor, old but similar here

A few weeks ago, I posted images photographed at the Tulsa State Fair that chronicled my adventures there.  We photographed into the evening hours and I wanted to share them with you as well.  The night was filled with crisp air, bright lights, exhilarating rides and cotton candy dreams.

MY FAIR LADY

{Dress}Clover Canyon, {Eye Wear}Ellery via Black Optical, {Shoes}Ann Taylor

One of my favorite months of the year is September.  As summer begins to fade, the beauty of fall begins with leaves turning to brilliant color and a refreshing chill spikes the air.  It is also when football season begins, pumpkin desserts are readily available{my fave, pumpkin cookies} and the Tulsa State Fair brings it's annual two weeks of fun to town.  This year I spent my time at the fair with great friends riding rides{hello Himalaya!}, getting my usual fried cheese on a stick and making great memories!

MOD ABOUT TARTAN

{Vintage Plaid Set}via Cheap Thrills Fayetteville {Handbag}Marc by Marc Jacobs Clearly Top Handle Satchel {Eye Wear}Grey Dog Vintage {Heels}Ann Taylor {Heart Ring}Catbird NYC {Nail Color}Essie Tart Deco

I can't seem to get enough plaid this season so you can imagine the elation I felt when I spotted this matching set while on a trip to Arkansas.  I gravitate towards the 1960's when I'm shopping for vintage for several reasons.  The fashion from that decade is full of great prints, interesting construction and an overall playfulness...what's not to love about that! Hope you all are having a Happy Tuesday!
