FAVORITES OF 2013

What a year 2013 was! It was full of excitement, struggles and a wealth of life lessons.  It was also a year of life changes..the biggest being when I quit my job to begin pursuing my dream of being a set decorator for films.  I am so excited to embark on this new journey with you on my blog and chronicle my love of fashion, vintage, set decorating and beautiful places that I hope inspire you.  If you have a dream I encourage you to pursue it this year...life is about recognizing our hearts greatest desires and going into the unknown.  Thank you for your support and I can't wait to see what's in store for 2014!

A PLACE TO LAND

I found this 1960's metal bird necklace during my last visit to NYC...he has become a favorite of mine!

Two years ago, while scouting locations for my favorite photo shoot to date featured here, I came across this beautiful old hangar and a spot right outside the airport runway where incoming planes fly mere feet above.  It wasn't long after the shoot that I began to make a monthly pilgrimage to this beautiful place.  I'm not really sure why I'm so drawn...perhaps because of a long standing fascination with aviation, or possibly due to the feeling I experience there of peace and exhilaration , or lastly, because I feel a connection to someone dear to me.  Whatever the reason, I always leave feeling peaceful and inspired.
